Artist Biography

Born and raised in Southwest Texas, artist Cabot Goslin started his career in the late 1980's doing artwork for the Native American Apache Indian tribes in New Mexico. Cabot was respected by the local community leaders and was honored with over 25 exhibitions between 1993-1995 in the New Mexico/ Texas/ American Southwest United States/ Mexico area. In 1996, while attending private school in El Paso, he entered 7 radically different pieces into International private school art competition at Oral Roberts University with over 200 different institutions participating, and won top honors in all categories.

By 1996 his work was being exhibited in several galleries and coffee houses in Texas, Arizona, and New Mexico. His art was asked to accentuate the introduction of the American Crew hair product line, as well as many other commercial pursuits (to include well-known hotels).

In 1997, Cabot was asked to attend the Kansas City Art Institute on full scholarship. This is where he perfected his skills for the human body and sculpting in steel. At the end of program, his masterpiece piece was displayed centrally at the final exhibition. A steel sculpture of a dragon and was displayed at the world-renown Nelson Art Gallery in 1997 as well.

After completing the Kansas City Art Institute program, he was offered a scholarship to attend full time in the fall, along with offers from other top-notch universities at home and abroad. Cabot Goslin decided at the time that service to his Nation and Freedom were paramount to selfish pursuits, and opted out of all scholarships in order to fight in the United States Marine Corps.

As a Marine, Sergeant Goslin was highly decorated and an astute diplomat. He also nurtured his ever-present love for artistry. In 2001 he painted a mural at American Embassy in Congo, Africa. In 2003 he completed another masterpiece mural at the Embassy in Prague, Czech Republic. During his time in Iraq and Afghanistan, Mr. Goslin completed many war-time satirical comic strips of anti-war bigots; and helped raise the moral of his fellow soldiers and Marines when it seemed like the world had turned their back these young men.

In Malta, Cabot continues to practice his craft, recently finishing an enormous mural at a large firm based in Sliema.
